20 Hour Super Mini Vacation

So the surprise bonus to Uncle Matty's San Diego show last weekend.......

20 hours alone with my husband

To wander Old Town San Diego, just like we did on our very first Valentine's Day together.

To have a good meal at a nice restaurant stress-free.

To stop and photograph anything I wanted.

To wander through shops hand in hand.

To focus on each other.


Of course we missed The Phi. She is very much a part of our "crew" but for a brief 20 hours we had dinner, a punk rock show, beers, friends, family, and a motel room. It was like it was 2004 and we were dating all over again.

It was amazing to feel that all over again.


And of course when we got to our compadres house and The Phi ran up to us and told us she had missed us......

well that was the cherry on top of a wonderful 20 hour mini vacation.
