(This picture was not taken by me, but I did edit it!)On Monday my family all over remembered our cousin Roman, who passed away a year ago from Muscular Dystrophy. (And on Tuesday we celebrated his 21st birthday!) My cousin Karina and her husband Enrique live in Hawaii and had their own memorial for Roman. They threw a lei into the Pacific Ocean. Enrique is a Marine and saluted our fallen solider. As he stood over the cliff saluting our beautiful Roman a rainbow appeared. I cannot tell you how absolutely beautiful this picture is to me.
We are not one of those families that dress the same, but on Monday we proudly were. 
I know she is mine and I am biased, but sometimes her beauty takes my breath away.

Wow. Beautiful tribute photo, even if you didn't take it. I lost my mom to a form of MD, Lou Gehrig's, and always feel a little extra heartbreak for others who lose someone to any form of MD.
