I am pleased to say that for the last 4 nights The Phi has gone to sleep without the theatrics. And we didnt lace her milk with Benedryl or anything. It was her old crib mobile that has helped the problem. It had been stashed in the back of her closet for over a year now. A few days ago we were running out of things to try to get The Phi to sleep and I just grabbed the mobile, put it on the floor and turned it on. After shutting off her night light the room was filled with fish swimming with bubbles and stars on the walls and the ceiling. And after only a few minutes she fell right to sleep. The next night we tried it again and she only cried for a minute and was out. Then the next night she went right to bed without any crying and last night was the same. It was like a miracle. Now everyone who reads this please right now, knock on wood so that this pattern continues. Although she has developed a new even better habit of having complete meltdown in grocery stores. Good Times.

Ah, the classic grocery store meltdown. Not something I'm looking forward to (if/when the day ever comes when we have children). That, and the restaurant meltdown. Ugh.
ReplyDeleteWhy don't you try attaching the fish mobile to the grocery cart? Wishful thinking...:)
