Happy Thanksgiving To One and All!



Happy Thanksgiving Everyone. My Chicano Activist background leaves me with mixed emotions about this holiday There is the whole "Thanks-taking" idea. But I always love for an excuse to get together with all the family. It's Sophia's first one so this morning we tried to explain to her about what the holiday was all about. But it ended up in a political discussion about weither or not Indian casinos should pay taxes. Yes I have political discussions with my 6 month old. I am writing from beautiful Santa Barbara this morning. We drove in last night and traffic was surprisingly light. The weather here is gorgeous. The weather here is always gorgeous. We have 3 houses to visit today, so lots of driving. Well I am off to make 20 pounds of mashed potatoes. Yes I said 20 pounds!
